Scientific Experience
NC State University - Summer Interdisciplinary Research Initiative (SIRI), Spring 2024
During my undergraduate studies, I participated in NC State’s Summer Interdisciplinary Research Initiative (SIRI), where I worked on the project “Exploring Epithelial Repair: Development of an In Vitro Model for Investigating the Role of LGR5+ MSCs in Allergic Asthma.” Through this experience, I gained valuable hands-on skills in aseptic technique, cell culture, PCR, Western blotting, and other molecular biology techniques. This project strengthened my interest in applied research and helped build the foundation for my continued training in biotechnology. I continued working with these labs after the SIRI program ended.
